Our Story

Jonathan Yalif, the founder and principal designer of JY Interior Design, was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. His early life included numerous trips and extended stays throughout the Far East, which instilled in him a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and design aesthetics. As he grew older, Jonathan found inspiration in Europe, where he studied at the prestigious Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. He later moved to America, continuing his education in Texas and Washington DC before settling in New Jersey.

With over 30 years of experience in designing and creating homes in New Jersey, New York, and internationally, Jonathan continues to travel extensively, honing his skills, investigating current trends, and finding rare and unique pieces that influence his style and can be brought back to his clients. His expertise spans a wide range of styles, from classical and neoclassical to eclectic and modern.
