At JAS Interior Designs, we are a boutique interior design firm based in San Jose, California, serving the Bay Area and beyond. Our goal is to create harmonious interiors that transcend mere aesthetics, instead we strive to transform spaces that nurture both the body and soul. As an Interior Designer, I, Janine, act as a storyteller, bridging emotional resonance with functional purpose. From small bathroom remodels to commercial hospitality design, and everything in between, our design firm engages in a variety of projects that cater to diverse tastes and styles.

Our Story

My journey as an interior designer began unexpectedly, when I stumbled upon Interior Design later in my career. I was working in tech and banking, but my creative side yearned to come out. I went back to school, and here I am today, eight years later, happily expressing my creativity while keeping true to my sensible Boston roots. What does that mean? I love a good plaid as well as a special antique to give a space a little soul and depth! Outside of work, I'm a self-proclaimed chatterbox, highly energetic, passionate yet zen. I'm a mom, wife, and I love to cook. In my spare time, I travel to find new inspiration, enjoy nature, yoga, hiking, and reading.

My Design Philosophy

I believe that every space should tell a story about the person and their home. My job as an Interior Designer is to find out what that story is and reflect it in a transparent and inspiring design. I put my heart in my work, because I care. I care about my clients and I care about the quality of my design. My 5-Phase Design System is like creating a masterpiece, starting from a pile of stone and chiseling away to reveal a beautiful work of art.
