Our Story

Rogers McCagg Architects and Interior Designers, PC was established in 2016 when Chris McCagg, long-time principal at James G. Rogers Architects, joined Jim as an owner of the firm. The name not only recognizes Chris' new role but also more fully describes our services. Our history dates back more than 40 years, founded by Jim Rogers, along with partners Jonathan Butler and Charles Baskett, as Butler Rogers Baskett Architects in New York. As the practice grew, Jim Rogers acquired the Connecticut office of BRB and established James G. Rogers Architects.

Our Approach

We approach each assignment as a unique challenge requiring a unique solution. Our work consistently reflects the ability to solve problems creatively, individually, and effectively, rather than a commitment to an individual style. While a primary focus is the aesthetic outcome of our projects, we are constantly weighing possible design solutions with their seamless integration into the architectural context.
