At Indicia Interior Design & Furnishings, we are a full-service, boutique interior design firm located in the Twin Cities - St. Paul/Minneapolis. With extensive experience in residential design, we have been creating unique, livable spaces that reflect our clients' lifestyles and personal taste since 2002. We achieve this through the application of creative and practical solutions, impeccable design, attention to detail, and thorough project management.

Our Story

Our journey began with Krista Schwartz, our Principal Designer, who has been creating memorable spaces for her clients for over 20 years. A graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Design and a long-standing Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Krista brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project. She is joined by Anita Johnson, our Senior Designer, who has over 25 years of residential design experience. Anita's passion is to "love where you live" by bringing out the best of her clients' personal style.

Our Process

Our design process is designed to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for our clients. We start by listening carefully to understand our clients' needs, desires, and priorities. We then develop a comprehensive plan to bring their vision to life, including programming, schematic design, design development, and contract documentation. We are also dedicated to providing exceptional customer service throughout the entire design and construction process.

What We Offer

At Indicia, we offer a range of services, including:

• Programming: We meet with our clients to understand their lifestyle, desires, needs, objectives, and priorities for the project.
• Schematic Design: We develop the initial design intent, or concept, which will guide the entire project.
• Design Development: We create the specific features of the overall design, including architectural details, cabinetry, and other features.
• Contract Documentation: We finalize the drawing package and provide an Interior Finishes Document outlining all material and finish selections.
• Construction Phase: We work closely with our clients and the General Contractor to ensure the design is implemented as intended.
