Meet Our Designers

Our team of designers is led by Cheryl Smith, the primary designer and founder of the company. Cheryl has a keen eye for design and a deep understanding of what makes a space truly comfortable and inviting. With her excellent listening skills, she is able to understand her clients' goals, desires, and any obstacles that may arise during a project. Her strong project management skills ensure that every project stays on track and meets its deadlines. When she's not working, Cheryl loves to spend time with her grandkids, work on the family farm, cook, walk, and shop for anything that catches her eye.

Jenna Nelson, our designer, is known for her creativity and attention to detail. She believes in providing the best possible client experience and ensures that everyone involved in a project is on the same page. Jenna is very creative and always brings new ideas and designs to the table, adding value to any project she works on. She is also very punctual and meets deadlines with ease. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys kayaking and backpacking around Lake Keowee with her husband.

Caitlyn Matson, our design associate, was born and raised in central North Carolina. She has a strong affinity for the area and draws inspiration from her surroundings, including travel, nature, and the people around her. Cait believes that good design can uplift the soul and spirit, and she aims to create spaces that inspire and motivate. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty and enjoys helping to smooth out any rough spots in a project. In her free time, Cait loves to go on hikes, ride one-wheels, and play outdoor sports with friends and family.

Supporting Staff

Our supporting staff is just as important to our success as our designers. Jayne Williamson, our office manager, has a varied background of skills and experiences that she brings to her position. She enjoys learning about the art of interior design and manages to keep things moving and on time with a smile. Jayne and her husband have been involved in motorcycling and camping for most of their time together, and they recently returned home to the WNC area after two years of traveling the country.

Lisa White, our finance manager, is a native New York Italian who loves to cook. She and her family moved to North Carolina for the mountain biking, hiking, and gentler climate. Lisa designed her own home and had it constructed, giving her a unique perspective on the design process. She is known for her good sense of humor and chill personality, which comes in handy when dealing with life's curveballs. Lisa enjoys racing in mini triathlons and half-marathons, volunteering, and mentoring young adults. In her free time, she works on projects, takes her Ridgebacks for hikes, and hosts friends for dinner.

Grace Testaverde, our librarian and project manager, enjoys working with the whole CSA team. With over 12 years of administrative assistance under her belt, Grace is an excellent organizer and problem solver. She keeps our library of samples up to date, including fabrics, paints, wallpapers, flooring, and all accessories needed to create a perfectly decorated home. Grace has a great sense of creativity and enjoys making custom wreaths, crocheting, and raising chickens. As a native of New York City, she moved to the mountains of North Carolina two years ago with her family.
