Our journey began in the late 1990s, when our Founder and Principal, Kevin Van Horn, was an integral part of the innovative technology consulting firm u1.net. With extensive experience in hypermedia and web development, Kevin played a vital role in designing and developing websites for numerous Fortune 500 companies, including General Electric, SAIC, Reuters, Prudential, and Kvearner.

From Passion to Profession

When Kevin decided to venture out on his own, he founded Van Horn Design in the early 2000s. Starting with a small but loyal client base of former u1.net associates, Kevin's expertise and dedication helped grow the company into a renowned player in the web design and development industry. Over the next decade, Van Horn Design expanded its services to a global clientele, working with organizations ranging from Lockheed Martin and the University of Pennsylvania Health System to small businesses and individuals.

In 2010, our founding director, Kevin Van Horn, took on a new challenge, joining the esteemed web team at Penn Medicine, where he continues to apply his expertise in web design and development.
