Amanda Royer Graphic Design

Amanda Royer, a talented graphic designer, was born in Worcester, Pennsylvania, on December 6, 1987. She completed her high school education at Methacton High School in Eagleville, Pennsylvania, and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Graphic Design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, Pennsylvania. She graduated in December 2010, having also completed minors in Art History and Asian Studies.

Amanda's passion for graphic design began at an early age, with her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Handler, being her greatest source of inspiration. Her high school art teacher, Mrs. Marcinko, further pushed her to the limits, enabling her to become the artist she is today. Amanda's introduction to creating "Pixel Art" and other website and internet-related graphics solidified her love for graphic design. She found it extremely versatile and loved the endless possibilities it presented. Since then, she has furthered her knowledge in Graphic Design to not only know how to create unique designs but also how the way a design is created can impact the final printed piece.

Professional Experience

In April 2013, Amanda began working as a Production Artist for Safeguard Business Systems. During her time there, she has expanded her knowledge of Graphic Design, and has since become a (part-time) Freelance Graphic Designer. She has created numerous logos, posters, and business cards for her clients. Amanda's ultimate dream job would be to work for Disney's Animation team. In the meantime, she is focused on further developing her design career through working with marketing agencies or firms. She is passionate about helping others find their image and create their brand.

Artist's Style

When Amanda is not working on graphic design projects, she enjoys creating art on canvas and drawing. Her favorite medium for painting is acrylic and oil-based paints. Landscapes and abstract pieces are her favorite. She also creates illustrations using both pencil on paper and her computer using her graphic design skills. Amanda's style of drawing is known as Pseudo-Realism. It combines technical skills with realistic drawing, merged with her style of cartooning, creating a unique style of her own.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading historical romance novels, playing video games, and watching comic book and crime drama television shows. She also enjoys watching movies, building puzzles, and spending time with friends and family. She is also the proud "mother" of two Siamese cats.
