We are a full-service design firm with a difference. At Design and Engineering (D and E), we partner with national multi-unit companies to design and establish locations from start to finish. With our combined expertise in architectural, interior design, civil and structural engineering, we provide full visibility of the development process, ensuring seamless execution and our clients' success.

MULTI-UNIT CORPORATE CLIENTELE

Our firm specializes in providing full architectural, structural, and civil services for multi-unit corporate clients seeking to develop a concept, establish the brand through design, and produce multiple built locations. We assign a project coordinator to each client to track projects from start to finish and communicate the status of design and permitting.

EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL DESIGN INCLUDING HOSPITALITY AND RETAIL

Our history is rooted in commercial development and design. We understand that commercial hospitality and retail projects are unique and require a high level of coordination. Our firm works closely with our consultants and vendors to develop your project from start to finish.

OUR SERVICES

We offer a comprehensive range of services, from due diligence to construction administration. Our due diligence services include pre-development research, as-built surveys, code analysis, developer coordination, lease review, meetings with local jurisdiction, and accessibility surveys. Our preliminary design services include master planning, programming, site feasibility studies, test fit planning, conceptual renderings, 3D modeling, and conceptual interior design services.

Our construction documents services include civil, structural, architectural, interior design, material and FF&E selection, project manual and specifications, coordination and collaboration with outside consultants. Our permit procurement services include permit applications and submittal documents, permit expediting and coordination, utility service coordination, representation at public meetings, and schedule tracking and project planning.

Our bidding and negotiation services include bid documents and distribution, vendor coordination, cost analysis, and pre-construction meeting services. Our construction administration services include on-site observations, requests for information, change order review, pay requests, shop drawing review, punch list, and project close-out and completion.

PAST PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Our past projects speak for themselves. The Taziki's Brentwood location was a 3,000 SF tenant build-out completed in 2015. We enjoyed working closely with Taziki's on this location and a few others in Nashville and Brentwood. Each site required working within the parameters of the Landlord combined with the local jurisdictional requirements in order to successfully accomplish.
