Meet the Team

Laura Yeager Smith, ASID Allied Principal

Laura is the founder and principal of LYS, and she's passionate about design from a young age. She earned a BS in Interior Design from The Ohio State University and spent years designing spaces coast to coast with top design firms in San Francisco, Virginia, and Naples. Laura brings her experience back to Ohio and opened the doors to her Storefront Studio in 2014. She excels at extracting clients unique personal style and creating high-quality, authentic designs.

Meredith Mihalic, NCIDQ Design Director | Senior Designer

Meredith earned a BS in Interior Design from the University of Cincinnati and has extensive knowledge of the design process from a practical perspective. She's responsible for the strategic direction of our design team and is a talented designer as well as a skilled and precise Project Manager. Her renderings portray the technical artistry of design while clearly conveying concepts to our clients.

Heather Townsend Associate Designer | Senior Project Manager

Heather joins the team with nearly a decade of experience in the industry and holds an Interior Design degree from Kent State University. She's passionate about facilitating the perfect selection for clients' individual design style and has extensive knowledge surrounding all things tile.

Krystina Aquilino Associate Designer | Project Manager

Krystina earned a BFA in Interior Design from The North Coast College. She has experience with lighting and residential design, and her passion for design is an asset to our team.

Jaclyn Galletti Associate Designer | Project Manager

Jaclyn joins the team with a diverse background in the Interior Design industry. Her experience in residential project management, office management, and tile sales gives her a great foundation for Project Management. Jaclyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Bowling Green State University.

Jaclyn Czalkiewicz Associate Designer | Assistant Project Manager

Jaclyn joins our team with a BA in Interior Design from Kent State University. Her background in commercial space planning translates well to the technical planning in residential design. She works closely with our design team to assist with design documentation, creating presentations, and assisting with installations.

Deb Stelmarski Operations Director

Deb brings a diverse set of skills and attributes to our team. While attending Kent State University, she studied Interior Design, but as life has it, she has spent her career in operations and administration. Deb now directs the daily operations of our Studio & Storefront to implement the vision of our Principal while ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met on time and per process, with a smile.

Kaylen Rantilla Senior Designer | Drafter

Kaylen is a skilled and creative designer who collaborates with our design team to draft beautiful and technical renderings of design concepts.
