Our Origins

P H Architects was established over a decade ago by Peter Paulos Jr., AIA, who brought with him a deep passion for architecture cultivated during his time in Salt Lake City. His vision was to create a firm that not only delivered exceptional design solutions but also fostered strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and aspirations. Mr. Paulos relocated to Connecticut to support his wife's equestrian career, but his commitment to architectural excellence remained steadfast. Seeking diversity in his projects, he embraced a wide range of typologies, from residential homes to commercial spaces, including mixed-use buildings, fitness centers, clubhouses, and even equestrian facilities. His hands-on approach, being involved in every project, ensures the highest level of personalized attention and quality craftsmanship.

Architectural Expertise and Education

Mr. Paulos' dedication to the profession is evident in his extensive educational background. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Utah's School of Architecture and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan. His academic achievements were further recognized through prestigious scholarships, including the David Linton Memorial Scholarship from the General Fraternity of Beta Theta Pi and the Ian Sundly Memorial Scholarship from the University of Michigan. Recognized for his expertise, Mr. Paulos is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and licensed to practice architecture in the states of Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Utah, Idaho, and Arizona. His membership in the American Institute of Architects underscores his commitment to upholding the highest professional standards.
