At Blend Design LA, we are a full-service design studio dedicated to creating memorable and experience-engaging spaces for our clients. Founded by an architect and an interior designer, we have a passion for design that drives us to help homeowners, business owners, and developers realize the best potential for their properties. With a comprehensive approach that considers every aspect of a project, we strive to deliver exceptional design solutions that exceed our clients' expectations.
Design Services
Homes: Our team provides value-added design services for homeowners, buyers, and real estate professionals. From conceptual design to construction monitoring and furnishing installation, we can tailor our services to your specific needs. Our services include architectural design and documentation, zoning assessments and code analysis, conceptual design, 2D and 3D visualization, entitlements and permitting, consultant coordination, bid assistance, construction administration, interior design, documentation, space planning, color and finish material selection, furniture layout and selection, art and accessory styling, custom cabinetry design, and budgeting and purchasing.
Hotels & Multifamily: With expertise in hospitality and multifamily residential design, we create distinctive identities for hotel properties and multifamily residences. Our design approach focuses on understanding target markets, demographics, and customer lifestyles, as well as the nuances of each location. Our services include architectural planning and design, zoning assessments and code analysis, entitlements and permitting, conceptual design, visualization, interior architectural design, space planning, model room and show flat design, and all phases of design documentation.
Mixed Use & Commercial: We collaborate with business owners to create experience-driven design concepts that align with their brand and business goals. Our holistic approach considers all aspects of commercial design, ensuring that every point of interaction is a celebration. Our services include retail, restaurant, creative work space, specialty, and spa tenant improvement, entitlement, and change of use, health department permitting, concept design, all phases of design documentation, color and material selection, furniture and fixture specification, and design and staging.
Our Expertise
Our team consists of licensed architect David Chong, a seasoned design professional with over two decades of experience in residential and commercial architecture. David holds a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University and has provided his creative expertise to a wide range of projects, from iconic landmarks to small residential homes. David is also an avid golfer.
Our interior designer, Kelly Jao, is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer with over a decade of experience in hospitality, multifamily, and single-family residential design. Kelly's portfolio includes premium hotel designs and luxury residential projects for Hollywood celebrities. She holds a Master of Interior Architecture degree from the UCLA/Cal Poly Pomona Joint Master's Program and is also a lifelong student of yoga.
