Vital Choice
As Art Director for e-Commerce at Vital Choice, a direct-to-consumer retailer of premium seafood and supplements, I was responsible for driving sales through email marketing and web initiatives. I designed, produced, and sent 2 newsletters each week to more than 100K email subscribers, resulting in an average revenue of $40,000 per twice-weekly issue. I also managed mailing lists, conducted numerous A/B tests, and created complex automated workflows.
Filson
During my 3-year tenure as Art Director & Senior Graphic Designer at Filson, a premium outdoor clothing and gear brand founded in 1897, I developed all e-commerce creative and key print marketing. I drove direct sales through the creation of email blasts, web promotions, catalog features, point-of-sale, and advertising. I was responsible for building and maintaining the brand's look and feel, creating and sending over 200 email blasts to its list of over 100,000 customers.
Chateau Ste. Michelle & Columbia Crest Wines
I designed four multi-faceted national point-of-sale campaigns for Stimson Lane, the parent company of Chateau Ste. Michelle and Columbia Crest. I also designed a full array of collateral support materials, including recipe brochures, bottleneck hangers, ceiling danglers, trade brochures, and dealer incentives. I sourced manufacturing and oversaw production for these complex projects.
Book Design & Management
The Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art has been honored as the most outstanding private doll museum in the world. Before working on her book "The Rose Unfolds", I studied the collection and learned about doll collectors. Understanding customer demographics is key to the success of any project. I have designed and produced 3 books and numerous other projects for the museum.
Ads for Sedgwick Reinsurance
For Sedgwick Re, I created a series of trade ads promoting their workers' compensation, medical malpractice, and other product lines. Insurance trade publications are often full of conceptually similar boring ads touting the mega-global nature of the companies. Humor was a non-traditional approach that received lots of favorable attention.
