Who is Mike Behnke?

Mike Behnke, the founder of LocalPCGuy, has always been fascinated by technology and computers. Growing up, he spent his free time programming and fixing computers, starting with his first computer, a Commodore-16. He taught himself BASIC by typing programs from the back of technical magazines. Mike's early experience in computer repair and support laid the foundation for his approach to customer service and communication.

The Birth of LocalPCGuy

In 1999, Mike started LocalPCGuy, initially focusing on marketing telecommunications products offline and online. As the internet grew, he began learning about web development and design. He built numerous websites during this time, learning what worked and what didn't. As he gained more experience, he started helping others develop their websites, discovering his passion for custom website development using standards-based code.

LocalPCGuy is a small, one-man operation run by Mike Behnke. Due to his full-time work schedule, he carefully selects projects that align with his abilities and ensures he can deliver high-quality results. His expertise includes:

Prior to starting LocalPCGuy, Mike worked as a Senior User Interface Engineer for Perficient Digital in Ann Arbor, MI. During his tenure, he worked on diverse projects for clients across various industries, constantly learning and staying up-to-date with the latest web trends.

Today, Mike focuses on developing the JOOL Health application, helping people find and align with their purpose. His blog is a platform for him to share his thoughts, insights, and experiences.
