Business Details
We founded Website for Artists in May 2006 to provide artists with professional online portfolios. Our founder, Isabelle Garbani, brings digital art experience from 1995 to 2002 working with software companies such as Papyrus Design Group, Turbine Entertainment, and Looking Glass. After earning her MFA in sculpture in 2004, she combined her technical background with fineart practice to launch this service. We understand the unique demands of an artists life, balancing studio time, promotion, and the need to make a living. We believe a welldesigned website is an essential promotional tool that allows anyone worldwide to view artwork quickly and freely. We are committed to making website acquisition simple, affordable, and free of unnecessary complexity for artists.
Our team delivers affordable, elegant, and fully responsive designs that look excellent on both smartphones and desktops. We handle domain registration and renew it for free each year, removing a recurring administrative burden. We provide searchengineoptimization guidance, secure hosting, and ongoing site maintenance so your portfolio stays current. We offer a hosting plan at $12.50 per month that includes five free content updates and reliable server support. We strive to give artists more time in the studio by managing every technical aspect of their website.

Services
Website Design
We create custom, responsive websites tailored specifically for visual artists who need a professional online portfolio. Each design adapts seamlessly to smartphones and desktops, ensuring artwork looks polished on any device. This service saves artists time by delivering a readytopublish site that meets gallery, grant, and curator requirements without technical hassle.
Domain Registration
We register your domain name and handle the annual renewal at no extra cost. This ensures your web address remains secure and uninterrupted year after year. By managing registration automatically, artists avoid expiration risks and can focus on creating rather than administrative tasks.
Search Engine Optimization
We provide basic searchengine optimization to improve how galleries and grant panels discover your work online. Our approach includes keywordrich page titles, descriptive image alt text, and clean site structure. These steps help your portfolio rank higher in search results, increasing visibility to curators and potential buyers without ongoing fees.
Hosting
We host your artist website on a secure, monitored server located in a reliable data center. The hosting plan includes automatic backups, uptime monitoring, and technical support to keep your site accessible. At $12.50 per month, you receive five free content updates and peace of mind knowing your artwork stays online.
Website Maintenance
We maintain your site by updating images and text whenever you send new content. Clients receive up to five free updates each month as part of the hosting package. This ongoing care guarantees your portfolio remains current, eliminating the risk of outdated information affecting professional opportunities.
